Category: Design Interior Location: Sectorul 3, București Surface: ~65Mp Investment: ~50.000 EUR Date: 2022

3-room apartment Bucharest, sector 3, designed for a young couple, with a simplified, minimalist lifestyle, a balanced atmosphere.

LIVING AREA - open plan, open kitchen

In the living area, we wanted to harmoniously link the three functions: the kitchen, the dining room, and the living room. At the same time, in order to delimit the areas, we used a decorative paint applied to the ceiling that practically “breaks” the space, accentuates the dining room and is the border between the kitchen and the living room. The overall atmosphere of the apartment has a masculine touch, but it is balanced and offset by the warmth of wood and light colored textiles.

The anthracite mdf chosen for the fronts of the furniture is balanced by the warmth of the color of the decorative paint, the parquet, the ceramic tiles in the TV area, as well as the textiles – the armchair, the sofa, the dining chairs.

The way of life is also reflected in the interior design they wanted: simple but refined, a minimalist line, neutral colors, accents of texture, materiality, shape.

We achieved a perfectly functional space that inspires calm and clarity. Open space – the open space kitchen visually increases the atmosphere and facilitates social interaction.

ACCESS HALL - circulations

The unitary aspect is preserved throughout the apartment. I used a somewhat narrower range of materials and colors, precisely to ensure continuity from one room to another.

Functionality is very important for this apartment, trying to get as many hidden storage spaces as possible.

MASTER BEDROOM

Although the dimensions of the bedroom are not too generous, we managed to fulfill both the aesthetic and the functional part.

We proposed a sophisticated corner of the dressing table, we added the mirror on the front of the wardrobe to help increase the visual space, and at the level of the walls, we kept the color of the decorative paint also found in the living area, but using the bed frame creates an alignment and a specific setting.

The piece de resistance is the SSAB slab ceramic in the TV area and the makeup table.

HIM BATHROOM

HER BATHROOM

The bathrooms have been treated separately, according to the needs of each.

As you can see, in his bathroom we opted for a shower, while in hers, we proposed a freestanding bathtub.

At the same time, I gave quite a lot of importance to the sink area, as he wanted a sufficiently generous mirror.

About the chromatics, I mentioned that it follows the entire line of the apartment, but we can mention the mix of ceramics with that of moisture-resistant paint.

We did not consider it necessary to have ceramics on the entire surface of the walls, so we added value through the materiality of the decorative paint applied to both the wall and the ceiling.

BEDROOM - office, occasional guest bedroom

In this mix of general materiality, we introduce riffage in the tv area.

Paintings personalize the wall with the sofa, adding a touch of privacy.

The general atmosphere maintains a simple but studied and high-impact line for the beneficiaries.

The design of the apartment manages to reflect the couple’s lifestyle through a thorough understanding of the dynamics of contemporary life, their identity and expectations.
